the ranger’s name was david and he was a very nice fellow, we talked into the night
there were no other white people, actually, i was told they hadnt seen white people there for years
a local fellow took me hiking one day, i forgot his name, he didnt speak english, we looked for gorillas, didnt see any but he pointed out gorilla scat, he was missing part of a finger, allegedly because a gorilla bit it off
it was a wonderful stay, no other white people the entire 5 days i was there, beautiful views from the simple guest house across the ridges of cloud forest
