Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Uganda, Visit the Gorillas in Bwindi
MOUNTAIN GORILLA TRACKING RULES
To protect the vulnerable mountain gorillas in Bwindi National Park Uganda, the following rules & regulations must be followed:
* Nobody with a communicative disease, like flu / diarrhoea, is accepted to visit the gorillas.
* Don’t surround the gorillas however remain in a tight group.
* Leave a distance of at least 5m between the gorillas and you.
* If they come close to you, move back slowly.
* Flash photography is strictly prohibited.
* Don’t eat/ smoke within 200m of the gorillas.
* If you want to sneeze/ cough, turn away from the gorillas & cover your nose & mouth.
* Bury human faeces in a hole dug at least 30cm or one foot deep and make sure that it is accurately filled in
afterwards.
* All litter must be taken away from the park for disposal.
* Don’t spit on plants and soil while in the park.
* Nobody under 15 years is accepted to track gorillas.
* While with the gorillas, avoid making loudly noises / sudden movements.
* Contact time with the gorillas is strictly restrained to one hour.
* Please consider all instructions from your guide.
